The referee ignored Jamaica's protests and gave Javan Develder a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Javan Develder got a free kick in the 4th minute. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Bâru in the 10th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Finlay Stair in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgil Apostu saved Academia M.Balan from getting behind. 14 minutes into the game, Jamaica's Finlay Stair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgil Apostu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Romon Oliver came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Jamaica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romon Oliver couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Jamaica booed when Academia M.Balan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Dinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wayan Freeman during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 24 minutes in the game Javan Develder did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Karlus Waugh. In the 27th minute, Romon Oliver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgil Apostu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jamaica's Wayan Freeman got his second yellow card of the match in the 31st minute. The referee ordered Wayan Freeman off the ground. In the 32nd minute, Wayan Freeman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavian Blajovan. A hard shot 36 in the game by Octavian Blajovan from a close distance when the talented Demonde Jacobson managed to make a qualified save. Jamaica's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Jamaica's zone, Moise Bâru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demonde Jacobson came out of the goal and Moise Bâru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isac Pavalescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Demonde Jacobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karlus Waugh was the one to do the kick off. Academia M.Balan's Virgil Apostu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karlus Waugh in the 55th minute of play. Virgil Apostu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karlus Waugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Trif in the 58th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Marchiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Academia M.Balan's Moise Bâru got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 64 played minutes Academia M.Balan got a freekick which was hit by Alin Dinescu. 67 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Blajovan came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Octavian Blajovan notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Academia M.Balan made a substitution. Cornel Hodorog replaced Octavian Blajovan. Alin Dinescu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Jarell Hill struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Virgil Apostu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica. After 75 played minutes Academia M.Balan got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Marchiș. Moise Bâru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Demonde Jacobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Pavalescu in the 86th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leron Sale kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Cornel Hodorog left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia M.Balan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Leron Sale hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
