In the 7th minute Albertinho de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Xurupita FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Emerson Jacaré stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Emerson Jacaré tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jorge Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Xurupita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Pombal couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lilian Vântu in the 18th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho de Amaral came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jorge Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xurupita FC's protests and gave Jorge Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Coelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gustavo Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lilian Vântu got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, Xurupita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Gustavo Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Gustavo Coelho made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Gustavo Coelho in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 89th minute. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Luis Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustavo Coelho quite easily take care of the ball. Gustavo Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 92nd minute of the match. Gustavo Coelho was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Ignacio Mastache capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ignacio Mastache really showed his touch with that goal: 4-4.
