Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarbas Siqueira. Vladimir Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Marcel Maia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Marxistas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Marxistas's Eulalio Haritzeder got a free kick in the 12th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Marxistas's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vladimir Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Marxistas's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vladimir Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marxistas's Vladimir Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute of play. Eulalio Haritzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Jarbas Siqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarbas Siqueira to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarbas Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 56th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Marxistas's goalkeeper Vladimir Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 68th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Marxistas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Agustín Saelices heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Marxistas's Gláuber Paulista got a free kick in the 70th minute. Marxistas's Vladimir Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 73rd minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimir Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute, Gláuber Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Costa having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than Marxistas and deserved their victory. The Marxistas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
