An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Boix in the 44th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Emilio Boix rounded Paraguay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0.

Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Jaramillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Hector Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Buenos Muchachos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paraguay for a fine match.
