Överås BK's Mikael Vennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 14th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mikael Vennerström was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Ecuador booed when Överås BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Ove Hansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Överås BK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Hansson. With a little luck, Överås BK's Mikael Vennerström got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Överås BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Överås BK's Mikael Vennerström managed to reach the ball for a save.
