Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arrosko Rojas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Zamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Berriotxoa. A collision led to C.D. Ciudad de Soria getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ovidio Zapater hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Olo Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. In the 28th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Arrosko Rojas managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's supporters rose to their feet, but Arrosko Rojas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olo Kahn saved C.D. Ciudad de Soria from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olo Kahn. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th minute of the match, Mariano Lacasa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Olo Kahn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Arrosko Rojas got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Domenech Villa fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.D. Ciudad de Soria's protests and gave Domenech Villa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C.D. Ciudad de Soria getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Domenech Villa hit a great ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eron Patiño in the 63rd minute of the match. C.D. Ciudad de Soria made a substitution. Gabriel Redondo replaced Arrosko Rojas. 77 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olo Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.D. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Ovidio Zapater with Gabriel Redondo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 84th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olo Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olo Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to Chile's Pedro Indiano getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Eron Patiño scored 4-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
