Ain Averin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaido Jaas. Ain Averin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ain Averin saved FC Dundee from getting behind. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ain Averin saved FC Dundee from getting behind. In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ain Averin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ain Averin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. Ain Averin had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ain Averin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ain Averin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kaido Jaas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hardi Lind. The FC Dundee players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arno Luuk was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Dundee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joosep Hindremäe didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Arno Luuk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Luuk in the 59th minute of play. Ain Averin made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Arno Luuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Arno Luuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arno Luuk in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Arvo Kena made a great header on FC Dundee's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 86 minutes into the match, Arno Luuk notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arno Luuk in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Ain Averin however easily saved by the left post. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC Dundee were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
