Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hugo Lucian took the kick off in the first half of the match. Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Caldebrazza's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Alessandro Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Lucian might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Lucian ran back to his position shaking his head. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Linares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Linares saved Caldebrazza from getting behind. A hard, long distance shot from Cristian Sancho flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Caldebrazza's goalkeeper Alessandro Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Caldebrazza defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Linares. The Caldebrazza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Linares should have stopped the shot. Alessandro Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alessandro Linares. Alessandro Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 45thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hugo Lucian took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caldebrazza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Hugo Lucian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alessandro Linares could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Alessandro Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Caldebrazza from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caldebrazza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Alessandro Linares made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Xavier Sabrosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Xavier Sabrosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Caldebrazza fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
