Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Quintyn having to interfere. Húsares's Fabio Quintyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Fabio Quintyn however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Fabio Quintyn in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Húsares's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Fabio Quintyn, making the score, 0-4. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Húsares's Teobaldo Ibon was substituted for Florencio Ferran. In the 69th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Húsares's Teobaldo Ibon got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Quintyn having to interfere. In the 77thth minute of the game Teobaldo Ibon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A very nice done corner allowed Tomás Chinto to score against Julio Vera in Ecuador's goal. 1-4 after 79 minutes. Teobaldo Ibon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Ibon notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Teobaldo Ibon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Teobaldo Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
