Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Miguel Transito got the match started through his kick off. Jonathan Errapel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 minutes Santa Maradona's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel managed to reach the ball for a save. Rodolfo Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jonathan Errapel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Sebastián Puig in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Errapel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Sustrai in the 27th minute of play. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute of the match Santa Maradona got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haroldo Martxot ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Haroldo Martxot almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Transito in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute Miguel Transito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 57th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Sustrai. Jonathan Errapel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Errapel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 67th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Errapel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Santa Maradona's Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Jonathan Errapel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 72 in the game by Agustín Saelices from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Errapel managed to make a qualified save. Santa Maradona's players were relieved. In the 73rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Errapel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Errapel having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Jonathan Errapel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santa Maradona's Cecilio Beltxe got a free kick in the 88th minute. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Ecuador's Agustín Saelices looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
