To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Hamílton Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Cornoiu in the 16th minute of play. Harald Teissen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Dalgren having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harald Teissen got free with Jan Dalgren in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Salmutter hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Gelu Cornoiu came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Lidingö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelu Cornoiu couldn't finish the play. Hamílton Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Pilblad, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute.
