Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Queluzito defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo José Rodrigues. The Queluzito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo José Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Queluzito getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Roger Vargas hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, Nando Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Queluzito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 7th minute, Nando Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play forced Queluzito's goalkeeper Paulo José Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo José Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo José Rodrigues having to make a save. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Queluzito's Paulo José Rodrigues did a great save. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Luis Andino sped through Queluzito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo José Rodrigues. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Nando Lima from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Queluzito's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Rodrigues came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo José Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo José Rodrigues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Queluzito's Ian Nunes got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th match minute, Queluzito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Paulo José Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo José Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo José Rodrigues quite easily take care of the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Mazinho Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Felippe Fonseca hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Nando Lima made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo José Rodrigues. Queluzito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The audience was convinced that Nando Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 58 minutes into the match, Queluzito's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Paulo José Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Paulo José Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Nando Lima took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Lima in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Queluzito's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Paulo José Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo José Rodrigues made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 83 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo José Rodrigues, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Rodrigues having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo José Rodrigues. Paulo José Rodrigues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Daniel Zorita in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo José Rodrigues, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Queluzito throughout the match.
