Victoriano Loreto made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Matias Gaitan. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bran Allison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cengizhan Baycan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bran Allison, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Cactos's Bran Allison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play. Alonso Berganza made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cactos's Victoriano Loreto. Cactos's Ademir Rodrigues quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Moises Gayoso, made in the 47th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Victoriano Loreto in the 51 minute of the game. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cengizhan Baycan in the 54th minute of play. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Bran Allison made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Bran Allison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cactos's Bran Allison got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bran Allison was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute, Gary Petrie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
