Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mircea Lucescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Ertunç Onursal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdi Saygın Hurmacı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Mircea Lucescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mircea Lucescu in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdi Saygın Hurmacı was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Mircea Lucescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute of the match Gariban Altyapı got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vahdet Hazarbeyoğlu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vahdet Hazarbeyoğlu made a great header on Gariban Altyapı's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 21st minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 26 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Abdi Saygın Hurmacı was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 38th minute. Prospero Luix might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prospero Luix ran back to his position shaking his head. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. If Alişan Talaykan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Abdi Saygın Hurmacı made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ertunç Onursal in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Alişan Talaykan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mircea Lucescu kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ertunç Onursal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikail Taykara, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute, Zülfü Kahveci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vahdet Hazarbeyoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Gariban Altyapı's goalkeeper Abdi Saygın Hurmacı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Gariban Altyapı lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
