Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Evren Cambaz took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute, Wilhelm Lampadius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Panama booed when FC Fano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Beauchêne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dietrich Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dietrich Winkler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Panama booed when FC Fano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Finkelstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dietrich Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Fano's Dietrich Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Evren Cambaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Fano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, FC Fano's Karl Beauchêne got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Dietrich Winkler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Fano getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Wally Auffarth hit a great ball. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evren Cambaz got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dietrich Winkler. The goal made the score 1-3. 53 minutes into the match, FC Fano's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Dietrich Winkler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 55 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Evren Cambaz came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 played minutes FC Fano got a freekick which was hit by Evren Cambaz. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dietrich Winkler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dietrich Winkler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Carita during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dietrich Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panama were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after FC Fano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. 85 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dietrich Winkler. Tomas Berganza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. After having played for 89 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dietrich Winkler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Wally Auffarth hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of FC Fano's Dietrich Winkler. Dietrich Winkler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Panama played a much better game than FC Fano and deserved their victory. The FC Fano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
