Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Alexei Karamazov came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexei Karamazov was slow to take the kick. During this time Hallstahammar IK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alexei Karamazov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Joseph Svartengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Svartengren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hallstahammar IK's Joseph Svartengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 15th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alexei Karamazov. Alexei Karamazov took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Hallstahammar IK's Joseph Svartengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play forced Hallstahammar IK's goalkeeper Joseph Svartengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Hallstahammar IK's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Joseph Svartengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Sidoro. Luciano Sidoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joseph Svartengren having to make a save. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexei Karamazov in the 51st minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Sidoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joseph Svartengren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Hallstahammar IK's Kirk Liddle got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Hallstahammar IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Deșliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hallstahammar IK's Anders Esbjörnsson got a free kick in the 67th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Deșliu in the 70th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Svartengren having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexei Karamazov in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Hallstahammar IK's Joseph Svartengren got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Hallstahammar IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Hallstahammar IK's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph Svartengren came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Sidoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Joseph Svartengren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The Hallstahammar IK support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
