An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 18th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Scarafia Ghost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scarafia Ghost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koby Wright in the 22nd minute of play. Scarafia Ghost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scarafia Ghost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Harris, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Harris came free, but Scarafia Ghost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koby Wright in the 37th minute of the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jax Williamson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 44th minute Luka Harris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Manga Mangkudikusumah fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Go Ahead Eagles's protests and gave Manga Mangkudikusumah a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Canada booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manga Mangkudikusumah didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Scarafia Ghost made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rohan Watson in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Amorebieta came free, but Jax Williamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute Go Ahead Eagles were awarded a corner. Cássio Gonçalves went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Go Ahead Eagles's corner Cássio Gonçalves fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jax Williamson quite easily take care of the ball. Scarafia Ghost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter George, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Canada's Rohan Watson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 57th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rohan Watson in the 63rd minute of play. In the 69th minute, Filip Edwards reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Scarafia Ghost. The goal made the score 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 76th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Scarafia Ghost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Burton in the 87th minute of play. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bâru in the 88th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Iustin Bâru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Go Ahead Eagles's Giorgos Kontodimos was substituted for Iakovos Efthimiadis. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Erling Lewandowski replaced Iustin Bâru. With an all-out effort, Canada's Scarafia Ghost threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filip Edwards, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94th minute Theo Burton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Go Ahead Eagles fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canada were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
