In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Wargön's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sören Tunberg came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wargön's Artur Buba quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alonso Berganza, made in the 12th minute of the game. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bayan Baye in the 16th minute. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efraim Gilabert to maneuver through the defense. Sören Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sören Tunberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Bayan Baye managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wargön's supporters rose to their feet, but Bayan Baye was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wargön's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wargön's goalie prevented a goal. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. The throw-in from Artur Buba in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Mikael Liberatore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Wargön's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bayan Baye in the 58th minute. After taking down the ball on Wargön's corner Bayan Baye fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Tunberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Sören Tunberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Peru's Sören Tunberg threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luz Tejedor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sören Tunberg having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Wargön's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Sören Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sören Tunberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Mikael Liberatore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
