Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Vacid Nefer sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Vacid Nefer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Vacid Nefer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vacid Nefer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vacid Nefer in the 9th minute of play. Vacid Nefer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Club Deportivo Español's Vacid Nefer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Anthony Bonelli made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. In the 29th minute, Vacid Nefer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Club Deportivo Español's Vacid Nefer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 37th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turgut Talha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vacid Nefer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petrică Bărbulescu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Español's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Turgut Talha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vacid Nefer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vacid Nefer might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vacid Nefer ran back to his position shaking his head. Turgut Talha made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Turgut Talha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Turgut Talha made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 66th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Español's goalkeeper Turgut Talha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vacid Nefer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The supporters of Colombia booed when Club Deportivo Español was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vacid Nefer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Turgut Talha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vacid Nefer in the 76th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anthony Bonelli who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Flavio Botello managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Club Deportivo Español's Vacid Nefer got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Club Deportivo Español getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Arnaldo Queiroz hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vacid Nefer in the 85th minute of the match. Club Deportivo Español were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anthony Bonelli took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Anthony Bonelli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 89 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Vacid Nefer came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Español defense, Abram Secada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Turgut Talha. The Club Deportivo Español fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Turgut Talha should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Deportivo Español had played much better football throughout.
