Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopoldo Itzaina hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Metal Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Castro to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Francisco Nesor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Phelipe charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Phelipe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute Reinaldo Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Nesor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Castro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Reinaldo Castro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 36th minute, Martín Palermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Nesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Martín Palermo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. After 42 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. Reinaldo Castro scored 3-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Martín Palermo made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Metal Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. In the 51st minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Nesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Metal Juniors's Haroldo Nayely got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Metal Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yani Abalos to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Francisco Nesor firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Martín Palermo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Francisco Nesor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 67th minute. Metal Juniors made a substitution. Emilio Bibiano replaced Yani Abalos. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Francisco Nesor made a huge save. Metal Juniors's Francisco Nesor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 77th minute of play. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 80th minute of play forced Metal Juniors's goalkeeper Francisco Nesor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Macos Graciani hit a great ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Sergio Dennis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Metal Juniors's Francisco Nesor got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line.
