But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Damião in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Akif Eğriöz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th match minute, TR - UYANIŞ KIZILELMA - was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasım Bakkalbaşıoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Cenușă in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, TR - UYANIŞ KIZILELMA -'s Kasım Bakkalbaşıoğlu got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 33 minutes, Fabiano Damião made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Ecuador booed when TR - UYANIŞ KIZILELMA - was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasım Bakkalbaşıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Akif Eğriöz. TR - UYANIŞ KIZILELMA -'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7.
