Gunnar Håning stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Andino's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Håning having to interfere. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Fårdala FF's Edvin Svanström. But to his dismay, Edvin Svanström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Fårdala FF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunnar Håning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Fårdala FF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute Fårdala FF were awarded a corner. Ola Asserlind went to the cornerflag to take it. Fårdala FF's Ola Asserlind was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Gunnar Håning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
