Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Diogo Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Larra got free with Julio Vera in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diogo Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. After 8 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diogo Dionísio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Diogo Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Limeirinha FC's Diogo Dionísio. Diogo Dionísio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Geraldo de Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diogo Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Hortêncio Furlan might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hortêncio Furlan ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute of play forced Limeirinha FC's goalkeeper Diogo Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Angelo Blue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Limeirinha FC's Diogo Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. Geraldo de Lara struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limeirinha FC. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abelardo Larra to make the kick off. Geraldo de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Guilherme Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo de Lara in the 62nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Blue in the 66th minute of play. Diogo Dionísio stood somewhat misplaced when Agustín Saelices came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Hu Xu charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hu Xu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hu Xu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Limeirinha FC's Diogo Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of play. Diogo Dionísio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the game, Abelardo Larra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limeirinha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, Limeirinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Larra to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Limeirinha FC throughout the match.
