Dante Lacasa was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. 8 minutes in the game Macos Graciani did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luca Zorita. Alfons Sjö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luca Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfons Sjö was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. A collision led to Garsås IF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Angelo Mino hit a great ball. Joel Gaona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfons Sjö. Garsås IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Lund in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Göran Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Garsås IF's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Alfons Sjö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ola Lund in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. In the 41st minute Ola Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfons Sjö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. When Maicon Pereira fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garsås IF's protests and gave Maicon Pereira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mexico booed when Garsås IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garsås IF's Alfons Sjö proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Garsås IF from getting a goal against them. Macos Graciani made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Facundo Cadaval. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Luca Zorita sped through Garsås IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfons Sjö. After a rather tough play, Garsås IF's Önder Sezer got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Ola Lund put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. Garsås IF's Morgan Norberg was substituted for Enrico Cesaroni. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 75 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luca Zorita. 81 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Ove Stål came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Stål in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 94th minute of play forced Garsås IF's goalkeeper Alfons Sjö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Alfons Sjö in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, Garsås IF could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
