The supporters of Venezuela booed when Flashdynamica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Veldkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barry Zalm in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hendrik-Jan Krommert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The supporters of Venezuela booed when Flashdynamica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Veldkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Hendrik-Jan Krommert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 77th minute of play. Lucien Pietersma hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Flashdynamica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Pietersma to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Hendrik-Jan Krommert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Lucien Pietersma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavi Simons in the 91st minute of the match. With a little luck, Flashdynamica's Hendrik-Jan Krommert got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
