The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Fernan Garoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. In the 15th minute, Pedro Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernan Garoa had several of the Chile's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Thiago Pliego as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 19th minute Alan Turin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 24th minute of play forced Garrapatita Futbol's goalkeeper Hermengildo Jaume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Chile booed when Garrapatita Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Ignado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Turin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermengildo Jaume made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 56th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
