The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stanislaw Psotka charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stanislaw Psotka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stanislaw Psotka hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's Savion Labra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of play forced Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goalkeeper 白延珂 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 白延珂 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play forced Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goalkeeper 白延珂 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Savion Labra came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. 白延珂 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 白延珂 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Savion Labra in the 34th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Jurgen Habermas in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a defensive mix-up in Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 白延珂 came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 白延珂 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 36th minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match, Caio Silveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 46th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of 白延珂. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Savion Labra was the one to do the kick off. A throw-in in the 51st minute of the game was made by Jurgen Habermas with Reinaldo Diniz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Julian Murillo 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM made a substitution. Kazimierz Boniek replaced Savion Labra. 白延珂 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 63rd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Eliseo Mina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. 白延珂 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 白延珂 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gracias a la Pelota - DAM defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 白延珂. The Gracias a la Pelota - DAM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 白延珂 should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Silveira in the 69th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 白延珂 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Peru's Eliseo Mina to fire away a dangerous shot which 白延珂 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 白延珂 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's Sylvester Grubbs was substituted for Caio Silveira. Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's Nicodème Lamoureux was substituted for Kendrick Zeigler. In the 84th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Eliseo Mina went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of play forced Gracias a la Pelota - DAM's goalkeeper 白延珂 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Peru's Rafael Gallo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 白延珂 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. 白延珂 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Sylvester Grubbs made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. 白延珂 came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-7. The Gracias a la Pelota - DAM fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
