After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nildo da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Morrinhos Futebol Clube's Teobaldo Casado got a free kick in the 9th minute. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Jose Carita. Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nildo da Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Allan de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. Nildo da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan de Carvalho got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Casado got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Róbson Mendes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Cotilla quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Valle during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes Morrinhos Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Valle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 45th minute of play forced Morrinhos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nildo da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nildo da Silveira. Nildo da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 57th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan de Carvalho in the 61st minute of play. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Mendes in the 67th minute of the match. Nildo da Silveira was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Isidoro Sarmiento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isidoro Sarmiento really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 74th minute. Morrinhos Futebol Clube's Nildo da Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Morrinhos Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Morrinhos Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Morrinhos Futebol Clube's Nildo da Silveira did a great save. After a rather tough play, Morrinhos Futebol Clube's Humberto Valle got a free kick in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Morrinhos Futebol Clube's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo da Silveira came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Róbson Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morrinhos Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Morrinhos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nildo da Silveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. In the 90th minute Róbson Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Panama eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
