After 11 minutes of play, Panama's Miguel Miralles made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nildo da Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morrinhos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nildo da Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Panama were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Morrinhos Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Matthew Garrido fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nildo da Silveira quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Allan de Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 25 minutes on the clock, Matthew Garrido commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Panama fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Teobaldo Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Nildo da Silveira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Morrinhos Futebol Clube's Nildo da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Cambeiro in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Cambeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Valle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, one of Morrinhos Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Morrinhos Futebol Clube. The score was 2-2 after a penalty in the 61st minute, where Panama:s Abraham Alguacil tricked Morrinhos Futebol Clube:s Nildo da Silveira with a difficult ball by the left post. Nildo da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Miguel Miralles sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo da Silveira was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Casado came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Nildo da Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. After 90 played minutes Morrinhos Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Valle. After 92 played minutes, Panama's Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nildo da Silveira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panama reached it. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Miguel Miralles hit a great ball. The Panama players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Morrinhos Futebol Clube from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
