Luca Espinar kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Nildo da Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo da Silveira saved Morrinhos Futebol Clube from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo da Silveira was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Allan de Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The referee ignored Morrinhos Futebol Clube's protests and gave Teobaldo Casado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Morrinhos Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Teobaldo Casado hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan de Carvalho in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nildo da Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Allan de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Morrinhos Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Nildo da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbson Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute, Edmundo Espiga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nildo da Silveira. The goal made the score 2-1. When Teobaldo Casado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Morrinhos Futebol Clube's Teobaldo Casado got a free kick in the 76th minute. A hard shot 77 in the game by Edmundo Espiga from a close distance when the talented Nildo da Silveira managed to make a qualified save. Morrinhos Futebol Clube's players were relieved. Nildo da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute Milagros Cabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morrinhos Futebol Clube's Nildo da Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Morrinhos Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Morrinhos Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
