Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Telmo Granja took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Hugo Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 minutes, Telmo Granja made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. After 12 minutes, Abel Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Quirós players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Chaba Brahimi came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benito Sanz could save by the left post. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Granja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telmo Granja scored 4-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25thth minute of the game Telmo Granja who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 32nd minute, Desiderio Mede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedicto Garci kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Quirós was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chaba Brahimi to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Quirós's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Gerardo Galo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telmo Granja's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. In the 54th minute Telmo Granja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Desiderio Mede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Quirós fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Quirós's Telmo Granja looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Mede in the 69th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telmo Granja scored 7-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute Costa Rica were awarded a corner. Axel Tasis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Costa Rica's Juan Rubio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Telmo Granja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Quirós had played much better football throughout.
