If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Manchester United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Lyubcho Karadachki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lyubcho Karadachki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 26th minute of play. Elin Popovski got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Exequiel Zeballos. In the 40th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyubcho Karadachki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Elin Popovski in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Milagros Fraga. Albin Apelquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Exequiel Zeballos to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Exequiel Zeballos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A nice corner shot did that Anacleto Emesto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Manchester United F.C.'s Lyubcho Karadachki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 59th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Efraim Gilabert in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Manchester United F.C.'s Anacleto Emesto. Lyubcho Karadachki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th match minute, Manchester United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by D.J. Jurado to maneuver through the defense. After 90th play minutes Exequiel Zeballos shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Rolando Noboa and just under the crossbar into goal. A sloppy throw-in by Eliseo Alcocer in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Manchester United F.C.'s Elin Popovski. The Manchester United F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
