After a rather tough play, A.A FÊNIX's Bernardo Dantae got a free kick in the 4th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A.A FÊNIX's Mario Marquez was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A.A FÊNIX's Elvio Fanuco got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Marquez took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A.A FÊNIX were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardo Dantae took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Mario Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.A FÊNIX's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Marquez took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvano Lohitzun having to make a save. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a A.A FÊNIX's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of A.A FÊNIX booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Marquez in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 60th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Lohitzun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 61st minute of the game was made by Kauã Arruda with Amancio Castulo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 64 minutes into the match, Mario Marquez notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to A.A FÊNIX getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cristo Beti hit a great ball. Humberto Haimar took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Fanuco came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvano Lohitzun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jose Correa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-1 in the 77 minute of play. A collision led to A.A FÊNIX getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Kauã Arruda hit a great ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Lohitzun having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for A.A FÊNIX.
