Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pepe Sand kicked off to start the match. Lautaro Morales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pucará's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Morales came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Morales having to interfere. In the 16th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Morales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pucará's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Morales was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Lautaro Morales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Pucará was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godofredo Lauaxeta to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Morales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Sand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Pepe Sand ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Sand in the 53rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pucará's Lautaro Morales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Pucará from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Pucará's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 59th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Pucará made a substitution. Benedicto Caitano replaced Bernabe Olivar. Lautaro Morales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute of the match. Lautaro Morales made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 77th minute. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The Pucará support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
