Joop Leemans helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 92nd minute. YR Mechelen were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Costa Rica to leave the ground with a draw.
