Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Borys Biegun in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Nadodrze Wrocław got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. If Llorienzo Orozco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borys Biegun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Wladyslaw Maciejewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 33rd minute of play forced Nadodrze Wrocław's goalkeeper Lucjan Zbytniewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borys Biegun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Biegun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wladyslaw Maciejewski kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Nadodrze Wrocław's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Lucjan Zbytniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugon Podowski in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86thth minute of the game Hugon Podowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugon Podowski in the 93rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Lucjan Zbytniewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
