ARAKLISPOR's Sílvio Pires was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee showed Orhan Erşahan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes ARAKLISPOR got a freekick which was hit by Orhan Erşahan. ARAKLISPOR's Hans Kullander quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joshua Garrido, made in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 94th minute, Fernando Celipe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, ARAKLISPOR's Aşık Tunçdağ got control of the ball when Ignacio Mastache tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ARAKLISPOR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
