But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Champ couldn't finish the play. Txomin Astudillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sesuldo Teijelo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Txomin Astudillo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 13 minutes Unikurdos United F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Haroldo Txurio who took care of the corner kick. Piorno Camino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Fribäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Fribäck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Piorno Camino having to make a save. Los Pumas de Ocaña S.A.'s Piorno Camino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Fribäck in the 24th minute of play. The throw-in from Peyo Torres in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Unikurdos United F.C.'s Gaizka Mendieta. In the 39th minute Daniel Fribäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piorno Camino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Unikurdos United F.C. defense, Platon Marcilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sesuldo Teijelo. The Unikurdos United F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sesuldo Teijelo should have stopped the shot. Xove Olano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unikurdos United F.C. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
