The crowd rose to their feet as Gladiadores's Marciano Pettinelli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Marciano Pettinelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Pettinelli shot from long distance in the 23rd minute, but Jonathan Ferrant was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 27th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Beila got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Urbasa having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Tito Uchiha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Beila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Marciano Pettinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, Gladiadores's Blas Beila made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Beila in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 80 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Gladiadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense.
