Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Afonso Amado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Desert Fury's zone, Joshua Secada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernani Correia came out of the goal and Joshua Secada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hernani Correia. Desert Fury's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Hélio Malheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso Amado in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 34th minute. Desert Fury's Nuno Ramos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Afonso Amado in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso Amado was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Amado came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Amado in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Desert Fury's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Hernani Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Amado in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hélio Malheiro's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélio Malheiro helped the player get up and apologised. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Afonso Amado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desert Fury made a substitution. Pedro Maurito replaced Afonso Amado. After a rather tough play, Desert Fury's Hristivoj Ninković got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno Ramos went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Maurito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa came free in the 88th minute and tried to tip the ball over Hernani Correia, but to the joy of Desert Fury's supporters the ball went over. When Desert Fury's Pedro Maurito in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 95 minutes into the game, Pedro Maurito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
