Angel Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cantera FC's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Felo came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquilino Felo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Aquilino Felo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Abar kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Cantera FC's Aquilino Felo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Sebastián Puig in the 39th minute of play. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquilino Felo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Anselmo Monteiro made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Monteiro in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Cantera FC were awarded a corner. Ambrosio Astera went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that David Abar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With his leg Aquilino Felo managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66th minute of the match Hakkı Türel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cantera FC's Aquilino Felo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Cantera FC from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Cantera FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Felo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 69 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Monteiro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Monteiro in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Hakkı Türel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hakkı Türel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Cantera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Juan Sebastián Puig fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Juan Sebastián Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Cantera FC got a freekick which was hit by David Abar. When Anselmo Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Cantera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Monteiro couldn't finish the play. During the 91st minute of the match Juan Sebastián Puig completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Juan Sebastián Puig a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 91 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Monteiro in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Hakkı Türel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Cantera FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
