Adelino Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ARON FC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fabiano Vaz came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ARON FC's Manuel Bueno was substituted for Sebastião Xavier. A throw-in in the 66th minute of the game was made by Renan Lago with Manuel Bueno as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tomas Illescas in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
