Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rian Giggs got the match started through his kick off. In the 8th minute Antonio Masciarelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Cássio Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Kevin Mier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 13th minute of play. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Mier saved Sabaneta FC from getting behind. The throw-in from Zeru Recino in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Luz Tejedor. Kevin Mier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of the match. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 30th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Zeru Recino in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Kevin Mier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier managed to reach the ball for a save. Kevin Mier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Mier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Bonifaco Corrillos charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bonifaco Corrillos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Sabaneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifaco Corrillos to maneuver through the defense. Zeru Recino made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Firman Urquizu however managed to control. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Mier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 51st minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Mier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sabaneta FC's Kevin Mier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 65th minute of play. With his leg Kevin Mier managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sabaneta FC made a substitution. Osmundo Bolde replaced David Fuentes. Kevin Mier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeru Recino during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes Sabaneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeru Recino. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Sabaneta FC's Stanislaw Cempa was substituted for Antonio Masciarelli. In the 84th match minute, Sabaneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeru Recino to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Rafael Gallo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kevin Mier. The goal made the score 2-3. 88 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Mier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafael Gallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Kevin Mier made a huge save. In the 92nd minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Mier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Sabaneta FC's goalkeeper Kevin Mier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Gallo. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
