Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Tiran Piedra. Gimnasia LP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a little luck, Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Benvide Ponte made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Joel Gaona did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Tiran Piedra 15 minutes into the match. Tiran Piedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 27th minute of the match. Gimnasia LP's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joel Gaona 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. In the 34th minute Amado Sindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Tiran Piedra. Gimnasia LP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiran Piedra was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Amado Sindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amado Sindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiran Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Sindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Gimnasia LP's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Tiran Piedra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, William Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiran Piedra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benvide Ponte. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benvide Ponte in the 71st minute. Tiran Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 81st minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute of play. Tiran Piedra came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Tiran Piedra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Mexico players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
