After 10 minutes, Tomas Berganza made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Marchu FC's Aurelio Mergildo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aurelio Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Panama booed when Marchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Hedin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marchu FC's Aurelio Mergildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 17th minute of play. In the 24th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Diegotxe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Isaac Diegotxe slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Göran Hedin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Wandy Petera notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Marchu FC's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Mergildo came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Marchu FC's 叶凡亦 got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Marchu FC's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Mergildo came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Miguel Miralles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaac Diegotxe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Mergildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 53rd minute of play forced Marchu FC's goalkeeper Aurelio Mergildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marchu FC's Aurelio Mergildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Marchu FC from getting a goal against them. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wandy Petera, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 66th minute, Miguel Miralles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Birger Lilja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wandy Petera in the 80th minute of play. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Aurelio Mergildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Marchu FC's goalkeeper Aurelio Mergildo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Aurelio Mergildo made a huge save. In the 92nd minute of the match Panama got a corner. Marchu FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 96 played minutes Marchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Isusko. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
