Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Julian Murillo made the kick off which started today's match. Perivaldo Eger had several of the Peru's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rolando Noboa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Milagros Fraga took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Zoetmulder. Mike Zoetmulder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 11th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Zoetmulder. De Pelgrims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Zé Pedro Figueiredo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perivaldo Eger went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match, Perivaldo Eger got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Noboa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erben Roelofs's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erben Roelofs helped the player get up and apologised. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perivaldo Eger was the one to do the kick off. De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of play. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 52nd minute. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huub Gerrits's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 74th minute Huub Gerrits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After 87 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Figueiredo. Mike Zoetmulder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Twan Mol hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
