The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oswaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. 12 minutes into the match, Atlético-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Oswaldo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oswaldo Paraíba was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 23rd minute of play. Perivaldo Sampaio hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Perivaldo Sampaio's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perivaldo Sampaio helped the player get up and apologised. Atlético-PR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Oswaldo Paraíba threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Perivaldo Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 78th minute of play. Oswaldo Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Oswaldo Paraíba in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute Ren Ang Ming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Paraíba came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Yang Ke Xun kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Mexico played a much better game than Atlético-PR and deserved their victory. The Atlético-PR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
