Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bornova's Fernando Dracena. But to his dismay, Fernando Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kamil Momodu to strike the kick off in the second half. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Nafiz Özilter in the 52nd minute of play. Sonny Alén was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sonny Alén prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
