Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rutger Magnusson to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Gaafar Jesus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Rutger Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaafar Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaafar Jesus in the 87th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Örebro FF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Örebro FF could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
