In the 18th match minute, Örebro FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Łukasz Piszczek to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rutger Magnusson in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Turina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Örebro FF's Geovani Dracena quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Leoz, made in the 23rd minute of the game. Örebro FF's Ivan Turina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 26th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 27th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Zorita heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Örebro FF's Ivan Turina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Örebro FF got a freekick which was hit by Djondo Djokodamono. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 34th minute of play forced Örebro FF's goalkeeper Ivan Turina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Turina. Örebro FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 38th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Turina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Turina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Örebro FF's Gaafar Jesus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivan Turina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute of the match. Örebro FF's Ivan Turina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Örebro FF from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Turina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ivan Turina made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Ivan Turina however easily saved by the left post. Ivan Turina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Örebro FF's goalkeeper Ivan Turina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaafar Jesus's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gaafar Jesus was slow to take the kick. During this time Örebro FF's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Örebro FF's corner Gaafar Jesus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. After 75 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaafar Jesus who took care of the corner kick. 78 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ivan Turina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ivan Turina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Rutger Magnusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
